If you are planning on travelling distance to attractions, we would recommend that you contact the venues directly in advance to avoid disappointment.

If you, or any of your party have a new persistant cough, or develop a fever of 38C, we would instead advise you to use the NHS's dedicated website for professional advice.

Snape Marshes

Species rich marshes with orchids and many other wildflowers. Also home to a large reptile population with grass snake, adder, slow worm and common lizard.
Lying on the north bank of the River Alde, between Snape Maltings and the village of Snape, Snape Marshes is a rich mix of wetland habitat, including grazing marsh, reed bed, scrub and wet woodland. With restoration of the marshland through conservation grazing and improvements to the access, Snape Marshes nature reserve is a wonderful haven for people and wildlife.
Snape Marshes is an exciting step towards our goal of a Living Landscape, linking the habitat between the Blyth and Alde estuaries to create Suffolk’s largest unbroken tract of semi-natural habitat. Significant land purchases to secure new habitat and link existing sites are vital to achieve this. Creating a new nature reserve at Snape Marshes moves us a little closer towards the long term goal.
