If you are planning on travelling distance to attractions, we would recommend that you contact the venues directly in advance to avoid disappointment.

If you, or any of your party have a new persistant cough, or develop a fever of 38C, we would instead advise you to use the NHS's dedicated website for professional advice.

Dunwich Forest

With Dartmoor ponies grazing the open areas, Dunwich Forest is being transformed from a conifer plantation into a rich mosaic of woodpasture, wet woodland and heathland.
Dunwich Forest is Suffolk Wildlife Trust's newest Living Landscape. Suffolk Wildlife Trust have been working in partnership with the Forestry Commission and RSPB to create 260 hectares of grazed woodland habitat from an existing block of conifer plantation. The aim is tocreate a mixture of semi-natural habitats including lowland heath, wet woodland and some broad leaved woodland.
Dunwich Forest is already designated as a County Wildlife Site for its existing biodiversity interest but it would be vastly improved by replacing the blocks of conifer plantation with a mosaic of habitats, predominantly wood pasture but also acid grassland/lowland heath and wet woodland.
